Kathryn represents SKN at World Championships
Varese, Italy was the setting for the 2008 Cycling World Championship, the smallest Nation in attendance was most definately St Kitts & Nevis. It was the final event in an exciting race season for Kathryn Bertine, after not accruing enough points to qualify for the Beijing Olympics, but with the full support of ESPN, Carmichael Training Systems and the St Kitts & Nevis Cycling Federation executive, Kathryn opted to finish on a high note and bring the spotlight to bear on our small country.
Kathryn was entered in both the womens individual time trial and the road race events competing against the very best the world had to offer, no mean feat, but she approched it with her trademarks a broad smile and fierce determination. Kathryn and SKN were given the honor of being the first to go in the TT race with the world and its media watching, and it cannot be overstated what an amazing experienceand honor it was to see the SKN uniform on this global stage.
