Admiral Nelson Remembrance Day Triathlon
October 15th was the day chosen from a week of celebations, to host a sprint triathlon at the Oualie beach Hotel, huge flotillas of boats, fireworks etc were the order of the week in England as the exploits of Admiral Horatio Nelson were celebrated, Nevis had a part to play also in this affair, as Nelson was stationed and eventually got married here to Fanny Nisbet . The whole week had seen a variety of different events occuring in honour of the famous Lord, and the Nevis cycle & Triathlon Club was asked to host a Triathlon as part of those celebrations.
