Team Nevis stalwart Reggie Douglas has been busy the last few weeks, as he benefits from his recent aquisition of a sponsor to help him travel and compete regionally, in Barbados he had his triathlete hat on as he posted his fastest olympic finish to datein 2hrs 20mins, placing him 5th place overall. Reggie also managed to swim and run his best times in this event, his bike leg not quite up to his usual standard kept him off the podium. Two weeks later he was off to Antigua for a two stage event, involving a 9 mile time trial and a 40 mile road race, in the time trial he placed a commendable 7th place with a time of 20 mins, and then a 10th place in the road race, which placed him 8th overall in the event, sending a message to the Antigua guys to look out for this fast developing athlete. Most recently Reggie and the rest of the Nevis team hosted Tortola's Chris Ghiose, who came to spend four days on Nevis to offer coaching assistance, and riding technique advice as the team prepares for the up and coming OECS road championships to be held in Antigua on May 15th.
