Nevis Cycle & Triathlon Club

The second anual labour day run race went off last weekend and members of the Nevids Cycle Club were in attendance to warm up for the SK triathlon next weekend, this year the organisers actually waited for the competitors arived before starting the race.
31 racers took part in what would be for some a downhill gruelathon, starting up at Church Ground and finishing at the sports complex downtown, this largely downhill event took a meandering course through Hamilton, Pump road and Bath Village. Club members James Weekes, Reggie Douglas, Keith Jones and Jack Bruno flew the club flag proud and strong during the race. Top finisher was James who came in 3rd place, Reggie 5th, Keith 6th and Jack 7th, two talented yougsters took top position, joining forces to fight off James controlled challenge for the top spot, as james collected his rather large trophy he commented that he could have pushed harder but needed to save everything for the St Kitts Triathlon coming up.
